International Book Cover Design

Happy New Year.

I would like to recommend a beautiful book on my favourite subject, cover design.

Earlier this year designer Andrew Howard put together an exhibition of International book cover design in Portugal. Andrew kindly invited me to take part, along with some of the leading lights in the field including Jon Gray, Jamie Keenan and my former Penguin colleague David Pearson.

The catalogue of the exhibition is a great overview of book cover design from around the world, and a lovely object in its own right. Featuring full colour reproductions of over 400 cover designs by 53 designers from 14 countries, the book is now available to buy from this website.
