These smart people have been doing thinking about how magazines might look and work in a digital future. 2010 would be a good time to do some similarly clever thinking about interfaces for digital reading of longer texts.

I agree with Jeremy, each device has it's own format. Trying to take a printed publication and put it on the web must be reformatted, and also, putting it in the mobile requires it's own format. We have a mobile magazine publishing platform http://mobilemags.360fashion.net, and the biggest mistake that we have to coach and retrain people on is that they need to think vertically, as phones are vertical for the most part, and not only focus on the iphone, which actually only represents 4% of the market place. Now when we introduce other tablets and devices into the mix, the real question is can you design for every device?
we have with our http://mobilemagazine.360fashion.net platform, but not everyone can get their head around being in every single phone!
