I love Dickens, so when my husband-to-be was in a business trip to England, nearby Kent, in the opening of Dickens World, May, 2007, I could help to insist that he would go there for me, even he havent't read any of his books. Back to Brazil, I have his pictures and stories, but I look forward to go there by myself someday.

I also will be attempting to "Do Dickens". I'm planning to start on New Year's Day 2012 and finish on New Year's Eve 2012. I've even put together a website to help me (see http://www.dickensdaily.com). Wish me luck!

I treated myself to this book over Christmas too - it is so iconic and an absolute joy to read.

A perfect Christmas for everyone. Your effort is highly appreciated. You are giving life to this special season even though Dickenson left us away.

Reading Dickens is a bit like watching Eastenders in parts, but you don't really want to hit anyone! It is no wonder his stories make excellent cinema and TV.

Love is a lamp to illuminate the darkness ahead of the distance; love is a poem, warm and cold in the desire of the heart; love is the summer wind, the winter sun, the spring rain, the autumn fruit
